just back from the range with my new Springfield 1911-A1 in 9mm. Great shooter! I thought new SAs were supposed to have a dehorning included in the loaded packages now but this one still has some sharp edges. The front sight is dovetailed and so when the time comes switching out the black Novaks for some night sights should be a breeze. I had 4 FTF in 100 rounds but I think a little polishing on the integral ramp should clear this up or possibly a slightly stronger recoil spring (stock was really really light). Recoil was of course nil. When filling out the paper work I was telling myself I was buying it to convert to 9x23 but it was such a pleasant shooter I think it'll stay a 9mm for awhile.
225 no longer my most accurate 9mm...
