.223 Saiga furniture

Trying to help a friend out with his saiga .223. The plastic furniture with the long looking fore grip feels incredibly awkward as most here would agree. We both figured buy a pistol grip for it and fix the problem, however I cannot find such a thing without coming across all these compliance's. Its the non muzzle device, 5rnd mag, and not even sure if it says "AK" on it, is there anywhere to get a synthetic pistol grip for this?

It's a parts count issue, it doesn't matter if it says "AK" or not.

You also need to take into account local laws as far as the pistol grip is concerned.

Personally, I was OK with the way sporter Saigas feel. I kept the long forward grip as part of my conversion, specifically because I liked how it let me reach out front. I like the look of the standard AK pattern forward grip, but like the feel of the Saiga's with a standard AK stock and pistol grip. Since I live in Illinois, I've kept all the original parts and performed my conversion in a fashion that I'll be able to easily convert back to the sporter stock if need be (I didn't trash the original trigger guard). Thankfully, I don't live in Crook County where they still have an "assault rifle" ban.
