.223 reloads, Anyone ever use these?

Same bullet, so same looks. However, like most things it's what's on the inside that really matters. I seriously doubt Hornady and LAX are using the same powder, powder charge, or primer and you shouldn't expect them to shoot same point of aim. That doesn't mean either load will shoot poorly in your rifle, it just means you have to try some to find out.
 
They look like 'em because that's what they are. A V-Max is a V-Max. Varmints ONLY.
3264fps is what a MAX load of Hodgdon Benchmark gives. Doesn't mean LAX is using that powder, of course, but that's a hot load for a 55.
 
I can't get consistency with factory ammo with 55 vmax. I doubt that the projectile is the problem. More than likely it is me, I would like to think it is the ammo.

My AR likes the 50 grain American Eagle poly tip. It is consistent, but I don't get that small group 1/3 of the time that I get with the 55 vmax. Very frustrating at times.
