.22 pistol

Does it look anything like this?

Smith & Wesson 2206 with Tasco Pro Point II

This is the first firearm I ever bought. I believe that this is the stainless (quite heavy) version of the 622, which is the alloy or steel version, I can't remember which. I don't know what the -6 part means though.

When I first got it, it had the occational stove-pipe. This particular handgun dosn't seem to like Winchester Super-X (I think that's what it was.). Sub-sonic RWS dosn't properly cycle either. The magazines are interchangable between the 422, 622, 2206, and Model 41. If your lucky, you can find some hi-cap 12 rounders.

Cleaning can be kind of difficult since the hammer gets in the way of the cleaning rod. My setup is a little tricky to disassemble because the weaver rail blocks easy access to the takedown insert. There are no rails for the slide. The slide rides on a shaft that is above the chamber. Because of this shaft, cleaning the action can be a little tricky. All the controls are extremely easy to reach. (I have small hands so this is important to me.) The ambidextrous(sp?) mag catch is a bar/button located on the forward edge of the grip and is easily depressed. Mags drop free of the mag well.

IMHO, it's a good pistol. But I'm thinking of upgrading to a Model 41. :)

Hope this helps.

Jason
