22 Mag Revolver

I just put a down payment on an old S&W model 48 K-22 Masterpiece in 22 Magnum. This gun is clean and tight and about in 98% condition. It has an 8 3/8" barell and is wearing a Leupold 4x EER scope. Does anyone know the kind of accuracy I can expect from this piece? Sincerely, Twoinchgroup52.

But beware of an extraction problem. Hopefully my Model 48 is an exception. But from the first time I fired it, the cases stuck in the chambers so badly that they were almost impossible to extract. I sent it back to S&W, which apparently polished the chambers. The gun is usable now.

Won't hazzard a guess, but my dad has a 8-3/8" K-22 made in 1950. With a 2.5" scope it's boring to shoot because it's so accurate. Hope yours is the same. John
