.22 Luger Copy

Does anyone know who made a .22 in a copy of a luger? When I was a young'un a friend of mine had one but I don't know what kind it was, seems like the collection is calling out for a new friend.

The German company ERMA (Ermawerke) made one. I believe it was sold in the US at least during the early eighties. They still make .22LR gear for Luger P-08 9mm guns.

Stoeger also made a Luger copy, they actually own the rights to the Luger name. I happen to have one of the Stoeger made models. It has a toggle similar to a German Luger, but the barrel is fixed, and most of the toggle is stamped metal. Mine isn't the most reliable gun on the planet either...

An understatement :)

The little Erma Baby is (was?) a cute semi-auto, but I thought it was in .32 ACP.

In 1968 I bought one of the Erma .22 "Lugers". I didn't shoot it very much and soon traded it for something else. It sure looked neat.
Erma did later come out with one in .380 I believe.
