$22.50 Charge for NICS?

I heard that next year there will be a $22.50 (or some such number) charge imposed upon all individuals, approved or not, for each individual NICS check that is run.

Any dealers that can verify this?

I asked a few dealers about this last night. None of them knew anything about it.

Originally the fee was to be $15, but congress approved $180 million (I think) as an operating budget. I have heard nothing about a backdoor attempt to reintroduce a fee schedule.
 
Watch this one like a hawk. When the Home Office failed to push through the 1973 Green Paper in the UK it raised fees to punitive levels to deter firearm ownership.
