22/45 sights?

I'm looking for a source for "high visibility" sights for my new Ruger 22/45, 5 1/2" bull barrel, blue, model # P512.
The rear sight is Dovetailed in & I have seen listings for replacements in Brownells catalog, etc. so it isn't much of an issue.

However, The Front sight is installed on a ramp, held in place by 1 screw. Looks easy to replace but no one I have found list any such animal??

Any help??, my tired old eyes would sure appreciate it! k
 
I keep seeing post on fingernail polish or some such to brighten up the front sight. Is this a choice for you? Or were you looking for something specific? The other thing you could do is take it off and hot coat it if you wanted a more durable finish, again unless it is the style of sight that bugs you. Just some other ideas.
 
Not many choices out there. I use a red dot scope on my 22/45. I got a jack weigand mount which slides right into the existing dovetail and the scope mounts right to that. its very easy and looks/works great.

Other than using a scope, I only have a few recommendations and they are just as expensive as a scope. anyway, here they are.

Heard of Williams Firesights?

One option I was looking at, for interesting .22 plinking: Williams apparently makes aperture rear sights and fiber optic front beads for the Ruger semi-auto .22 pistols. I checked their website at http://www.williamsgunsight.com, and they didn't have them there, but they were in the company's current catalogue, and maybe http://www.brownells.com carries them too. Mainly a buddy of mine was planning to get the aperture/fiber optic set for his SKS, but a similar set for the Ruger MKII would be novel.
 
Ya, aren't those 22/45 sights neat. I have a P4 22/45. Like it a lot. But those sights are ALL black. No dots or lines. Less easy to line up than my P89's dots. And the front sight hooks backwards toward you. A real snagger out of a holster! Maybe someday I'll replace mine too. Think I'll try some colored polish on them first though.

I couldn't find the front fiber-optic 22/45 sights?
But, I did find some nice sights, front & rear, on the Millett web site. I selected white outline rear & orange post front. BTW: the front sight is smooth & should eliminate snagging.

With Millett's P/N I was able to select the correct sights at Brownells. They should arrive Friday.
 
Great choice on the Millett sights!! I have the same exact set on my 22/45 and thery're awesome. Have fun and tight groups!!
 
the rear sight of the pc9 rifle is the same as the mk11 and 22/45 line so there may be more options searching for it that way.
