22/45 (or MarkII) Trigger Job?

Hey all, I'm fairly handy, and have done work on many revolvers, but don't have a lot of experience with autos.

I just got a new .22/.45 (the P-4) and think I may want to smooth up the trigger some.
I think I'll run 500-1000 rounds or so through it before using any stones or files, but if it still needs smoothing after the initial break-in, I'd like to do it myself.

Anyone have any tips, or know any links to info about home trigger-jobs on the Rugers?

Oh, BTW, I took it out for it's first spin on Saturday... I LOVE THIS GUN!
Why did I wait so long to get it???

No tips here

I bought one when they first came out and had some problems with it. Actually, I the first one was so bad I exchanged it at the store for a second one. I guess I don't learn too fast, huh?

I sent it back to Ruger and they fixed everything up right and did a perfect 40-ounce trigger job for free. I eventually sold it because it still wasn't as good as my old Single Six with the 32-ounce factory trigger.

Good luck.

John
