22-250 Min & Max Length

I am getting different numbers in different manuals of trim to min length and what max length is. Can someone clarify these numbers. Thanks

If I understand your questions, one of them is 'what's the minimum trim length'. Well, there really isn't a min trim length for most, if not all, cases. I accidentally way way over trimmed some 220 Swift brass years ago. It made no difference at all. I reloaded those cases again and again. As for a maximum trim to length, I suppose that would be the maximum case length as shown in your reloading books, though you should trim them a bit shorter than the indicated standard case length.

The Lyman 49th reloading book will show a "trim to length". Use that length as your targeted length, and if you trim it a bit more than that, you haven't ruined the case. Do try to trim the cases all to the same length.

I just looked in my Nosler reloading book and was surprised to find that they show no trim-to length. I've used the Lyman books as my primary reloading books for so long that I never needed that info from a Nosler book.

From my manuals:
Hornady--Max length=1.912 Trim=1.902
Nosler Max=1.912

From "Loadbooks USA" for the 22-250 Remington
Hodgdon --Trim=1.902
Sierra Max=1.912 Trim=1.900
Speer Max =1.930 Trim=1.912
