22-250 in AR platform

Is there anyone who makes a 22-250 in an AR platform? In 10or 15.

I have one in a win model 70 but would like one in an AR type rifle.

My friend has a "gun guy" and was BSing with him one day and said that It'd be awesome if they made an AR chambered in .22-250. his "gun guy" looked at him like he was retarded, and said they do make those. So apparently He's seen them, but i sure haven't.

Olympic make one I did find but it's 24" heavy barrel with a 1/14 twist. That sounds too slow. And it's $1500. Ouch!!

An AR10 in 22/250 would not be difficult mechanically. It would require some knowledge of gas management due to the high gas volume/pressure vs small bore diameter.
Fitting the 22/250 into an AR 15 would require deep seated bullets because the 22/250 OAL is .10" longer than the magazine will allow. It would also require some very specific bolt modifications to handle the .473" case head w/o jeopardizing the integrity of the bolt lugs. Olympic manages this in the WSSM options it offers. I haven't seen one but possibly by fitting an AR10 bolt to an AR15 carrier this could be done but you'd still be restricted to handloads only and lighter than optimum bullets. Then you still have the gas volume vs bore dilemma.

Simply rebarrel a AR-10/SR-25/LAR-8 format rifle or FAL to 22-250 and it would work.

Will NOT work on an AR-15 format due to OAL of the loaded ammo.

Will cost a few $$$ to build but would be a barn burner !
