I'm probably beating a dead horse,so bear with me.I have a chance to buy a 2006 Win.94 AE 30-30 fired less than 100 rds.,not a scratch on it,for $400.Any legit complaints about the newer Win.? Any info would be appreciated.

The rebounding hammer of late 94's makes for a sorry trigger pull compared to older guns with the half-cock notch. Some us, who grew up on the early guns, also forget to push that damn button and get a 'clank' when we're looking for a 'bang'.

To their credit, post Angle Eject guns had excellent barrels and as a group, display way better accuracy than you'd expect from a lever action.

I have a 100th anniversary AE. Excellent rifle and a good choice if you eventually put a scope on it. You won't be disappointed.

I've always had Marlins, most of my uncles I deer hunt with have Winchesters.I never cared for the top eject and the actions seemed a little rougher than the Marlins.Accuracy,to me,were pretty much too close to call.I just can't pass this one up,for this price and condition.
