2001? Remington 1100 with brown laminated wood

2001? 1100 with matte receiver and barrel finish,with bown laminated stock. Any info on this gun would be great. I have a chance to pick one up for 600$ and I don't need it but it looks like it may have been a dealer special or something to that effect. I guess it is rare. Any help would be great. Thanks
 
I think that's high for one of the matte ones myself. Most of them came with black plastic. They work fine, I just prefer the polish.
