Read in blue press that you should never use a 200 gr bullet in a lever action.Has anyone heard of potential problems when useing this weight bullet in a lever gun.I was trying to find a load that shoots close to poa in my vaquero and marlin lever when I read about this dangerous practice in the dillon blue press.

Howdy,

Assuming you're talking about a .45 Colt rifle, shooting rounds loaded for SASS (i.e. kinda light), shooting a 200 gr. bullet could lead to some blowback due to the case failing to seal in the chamber. I shoot a 200 gr. bullet in my pistols and a 250 in my Marlin Cowboy to avoid this. Adjusting the sights on a rifle is easy, so use a 250 gr. and don't worry about using the same load as in your pistol.
