20-gauge Left Handed Semi Autos?

Anyone know of any manufacturers that make left handed semi-auto shotguns in 20 gauge? There are a bunch that make 12 gauges, but I'm curious.

I'll probably just get an over/under eventually...

I think that's still 12ga only for lefties. Can you compromise on the 20 or auto? There are lots of ambi pumps and left-handed 12s. My wife shoots lefty and wanted a 20; I got her a Citori. Certainly haven't regretted it.

I know Benelli and Remington both make left handed models in 12ga - but I don't know of any in 20ga.

Not to change your mind on a 20ga - but you can easily make a 12ga perform balistically like a 20ga by shooting 7/8oz loads. If the length of stock is your issue - you might have a tougher time / or have to go to a custom stock.

Another option is to consider a gun like a Benelli Inertia operated gun - so even if its a right handed gun - you won't have the gasses blowing back in her face - something like the Benelli Super Sport - carbon fibre stock - in 20ga its under 7 lbs / lots of adjustability - and you can buy a left handed recoil pad for them ( swaps on and off - by snapping on or off ) - its a nice gun in 12 or 20ga.

The 20ga Super Sport is what I've started my 13 year old granddaughters on / or a 28ga O/U - but the kids really like the semi auto Benelli Super Sport ( black and cool, and light, and low recoil with the comfort tech system in it ).

My son shoots left handed and uses a 20 gauge Browning pump because it ejects out the bottom, instead of the side. Not sure about their semis.

To my knowledge - Browning does not offer a left handed model in their semi-auto lineup in the silver, gold or new maxus lineup of guns.

Browning BPS is cast neurtral - and is good for a leftie or a right handed shooter ( but that isn't what you asked about ..)

One of the reasons I'm so fond of my Benelli M2... as a lefty, it's nice that all the crud stays pretty much in the barrel.
Ejection is well forward too, so no issues there.

I already have a 12-gauge 870 in LH, I'm looking for something a little bit more reasonable for hunting or a day of skeet shooting though.

I couldn't think of any 20-gauge LH shotguns, so I figured I'd ask here.

That being said, I might as well save up for a Browning or Beretta O/U.

There used to be a lot more " left handed " guns around / and a lot of the bigger companies, especially Remington and Browning, made a number of left handed special run models that were not in the catalogs / and a lot of special run guns for right handers too.

They were typically made for bigger dealers - where the dealers had to order at least 50 of them.

These days you will see these special order guns / especially in O/U's and semi-autos / where a dealer placed a special order ( like ordering fifty guns made up in a 28ga or .410 ) off of a 20ga receiver - and they won't appear in the catalogs but you'll see them for sale in the "shotgun" magazines or maybe in a used gun shop. The one I see around my area the most is a Browning Citori XS Skeet model, 30" barrels, made on the 20ga receiver either in 28ga or the .410 . The gun is only available in the catalog as a 12 or 20ga - but a big dealer in my area about 8 years ago, ordered 50 of each - and put the word out that he had them .... I bought a pair of them in 28ga and .410 / and I walked into a good used gun / pawn shop in my area about 2 weeks ago - and there were a pair of them on the wall ( almost unfired ) for $ 2,500 each ( and they both sold right away ). So to some extent - you have to keep your eyes open - talk to some of the bigger dealers in your area / stop in at a Cabellas once in a while / see what a site like GunsAmerica may have and just make the managers or owners know what you're looking for .... be a little patient .... and something may pop up.

A buddy of mine shoots a nice Rem 1100 12ga leftie - that was custom stocked by Jack West in Oregon / with a parallel comb and adj comb - not a standard gun at all ......... and he's had it for 25 years or so. His primary Skeet gun is a Krieghoff K-80 / but he uses that Remington as a backup ( or rain gun in nasty weather ) and as a " travel gun " because its relatively inexpensive compared to the K-80 .....

1100 left hand

New member so sorry for the delay. I bought a 1100 20lH in 1983 with 2 barrels and still have it. Called Remington in ilion,ny to ask about the gun prior to purchasing it slightly used and was connected to the chief engineer much to my astonishment and he told me they only made a few and it was out of production. He said he was a lefty and offerred to buy the gun from me!!!!

I said you are kidding? He said no he was serious. Really. He told me to buy it quick. He said wished he had bought them when produced but messed up and wanted mine. True story. IF I were to sell it it would be expensive. Bob
