Im thinking of getting a 20 ga pump can anyone recommend one i dont want to spend more than 300. I already have a remington 1100 and now i want a pump gun i have been looking at mostly remington, it will mainly be using it for deer where shooting a rifle is illegal, so can somebody please help me out, thanks

Check out the Remington 870 Youth Express Deer Gun:

The gun featured at the link above has a 20" rifled barrel (with rifle sights) for slugs. Non-rifled 20" barrels are available for shot shells (which don't pattern well from the rifled barrel). I got my non-rifled barrel from Cabella's.
The price listed on the web site is higher than you should find in the market. I paid less than $300 for mine.

Another vote for the 870 Youth. I aint no youth no more but its still my favorite shotgun.

The same combination mentioned by Dave McC above that is availble in the Youth Express is also available in adult/full-size 20 gauge versions, with two different choices of barrel combinations. You will not likely ever have any reason to regret having chosen a Remington.
