I find it humorous to watch the "after debate spin" coverage when try as they may they try to influence how *they* perceived the debate went. It seems they are more interested in the entertainment factor of the debate rather than focusing on what each candidate had to say and not say. They also like to poll special interest groups. This a typical Gore/Democratic tactic.
During the debate, did you notice how Gore focused his response to the Second Amendment issue around the "Sportsman and Hunter" group. What about the rest of the law abiding gun owners who own firearms soley to protect themselves, thier families and property? Am I to believe only Sportsman and Hunters should be allowed to own firearms and to hell with the rest of us?
Gore's policies of what he wants to accomplish just don't add up and does not focus on the american people as a whole. He keeps pounding the "my tax plan will benifit the middle class family" I'm sorry Al, but not all americans fit into the "Middle Class", what about the rest of America? Are you so focused on the portion of the american populace your strategist feel will help get you elected that you're going to forsake the others?
Sure Bush is not as eloquent a speaker/debater as Gore is and the media jumps at every chance to point this out and make it sound like Bush is not prepared to lead and doesn't have a clue. But if they would actually listen to what Bush says his policies make sense and his stance on the issues doesn't focus on any particular group or special interest!!
Forget about military readiness, Gore wants to spend more money on weapon systems than to spend it on the actual fighting force and ensure those who volunteer to serve are well taken care of and have adequate supplies and training in doing their job.
Our current weapon systems puts our military as the top in the world. If we don't keep a dedicated fighting force who are willing to stay with the military to fight for their country, any future hi-tech weapon system will be unmanned or manned with a force not properly trained or ready to tackle the job.
God help us if we have to endure another 4 years of mismanagement of not only the military but other polices set forth. The prosperity we've enjoyed for the last 8 years are a result of the american people not the present government leadership. What Clinton/Gore have done in the past 8 years is only now starting to take effect. Look at the increases in gas/oil prices. As they go higher, the economy will surely suffer!!
We need someone to get in and stop the potential catastrophic consequences of what policies have been put in place in the past 8 years.
I know I'm probly preaching to the choir here but had to rant a bit after what I saw of the media trying to sway support towards Gore.
Vote on November 7th!!
