Shot these yesterday at the range. Those are a 10" circle pattern at 40yds.

I just put the Bushnell red/green dot scope on it.
Here's the old Star Dot choke that has been discontinued.
This choke, gun, and Hevi-13 3.5" 2 1/4oz loads work super.

You haven't tested much Hevi-Shot then.
The Hevi-13 2 and 1/4oz #6 loads are without a doubt the best patterning factory production shell offered to the public. This stuff will smoke lead loads. A good lead load will do spectacular to put 150 shot in a true 10" circle at a true 40yds and not just stepped off yardage where a guy shoots 32yds and calls it 40yds.

The Hevi-13 2 and 1/4oz #6 loads are without a doubt the best patterning factory production shell offered to the public. This stuff will smoke lead loads. This below is a great lead pattern. Compare it to the Hevi-13 patterns above.
I just picked up a new 835 tactical turkey on gun broker for 468 ... I was looking at them locally and could not pass on that price ... I was going to settle on a 500 which is a fine gun . I think the 835 is much more of a gun ...especially for that price .

The Heavy shot I am using
Was Reminton Hevi-shot 3". I got 10 boxes for $5 apiece. Never got them to print as good as my Winchesters #6 3.5 inches.
I have killed many a turkey at 50 plus yards and a couple a 60 with the Winchester 3.5 inch out of my 835. The Heavy-shot doesn't throw a hoot past 30 yards.

Do me a favor and try some of the Hevi-13 2 1/4oz #6 loads that I showed patterns with here. Get you a good choke like a Star Dot if you can find one, or a Indian Creek or Jelly Head.
You will be amazed at how well this stuff will shoot out of your 835.
I will guarantee it will shoot better than any other load you have tried in factory production shells.
