Four killed; I-40 westbound closed
Four people are dead, including two law enforcement officers, after a police chase ended in a fiery crash on Interstate 40. Westbound lanes of I-40, from I-35 to Agnew continued to be closed at 8 a.m. Early reports indicate two suspects were headed eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-40 when they collided with an oncoming semi-trailer, causing their car to spin around and hit an OHP patrol car that was not involved in the pursuit.

From what I understand it was another "routine" stop that ended this way. I drove by this on my way to work and the OKC officers car was mangled beyond recognition. My prayers go out to these two LEO's families. :(

I had often thought about being an LEO.. but I would not want to endure the pain that these individuals and their families seem to face on a regular basis.

May God bless these people.

God, Guns and Guts made this country a great country!

oberkommando sez:
"We lost the first and third and now they are after the Second!(no pun intended)"

As seen in Atlanta's AJC, The Vent: "In response to Cynthia Tucker's column on executing the mentally ill, I pose this question. Why is it that "this country" is only interested in taking care of the mentally ill AFTER they kill an innocent person?"

We also had 3 bank robbery suspects run for almost a 100 miles down I-35 at speeds of 100 MPH. Someone shot out some of their tires and they came to a grinding halt in the center median without anyone getting hurt. Another one for the good guys :)

My prayers to these guys. It does happen to often and tonight I was almost a statistic. The bad guy was running to get to his sawed off shotgun and I beat him to it. After it was all done I realized how close I came to being shot, all I could think about was my six month old baby.
