2 Kel-Tec's down and 1 to go

Have had a P11 for a few months now. And outstanding super
compact 9mm with the abilities and features of a much more
expensive gun. Yes I added some accessories and yes I did
play basement gunsmith with my dremel tool for the fun of it.
But all in all this is the single best "value priced" high quality
firearm I have ever purchased.

Today my Sub 2000 arrived with a 31 round G18 mag. Another
light weight, good feeling, reliable 9mm. Not to mention it looks
like some kind of hard-core S.W.A.T. carbine. Best of all is the
versatility of using my G17 mags.

I figure by the end of July I will have a P32. How can I own the
other two without completing the collection? If the super micro
Kel-Tec is close to the quality of the compact 9mm and the
carbine, then I can't possibly go wrong.

My only suggestion to Kel-Tec is this; you were wise in making a
carbine that would except 3 different magazines (Glock, Beretta
and S&W). Why not do the same with the P11. Nothing would
please me more than having a P11 that would accept Glock 9mm
mags, with a G26 mag standard. I know it can be done, and yes
it it would be slightly wider, but seems to me it would be worth
it.

I'm pretty sure you can use S&W 5900 series mags in the P11. I'm pretty sure Kel-Tec even makes some plastic sleeves for the part of the mag that sticks out. I've never tried, but I'm sure I've heard that somewhere.

You can use S&W magazines in the P-11, 12 rounders as I recall. I don't use them myself but what I have read, they should be genuine S&W factory magazines. If you use knock offs, it is hit or miss as to whether they will work.

Your missing the point. If you carry a G17, and a Sub 2000
that uses G17 magazines, then it would be greatly beneficial
to have a P11 that can also use G17 magazines. They did it
with the Sub 2000 and the should do it with the P11. That
would really make the P11 the "poor man's G26".

Got a new P-11 in November last year. Got a new P-32 a couple of weeks ago. If anything, the P-32 is of higher quality than the 9mm out of the box. There was nothing wrong with the 9mm and it's been absolutely great, but the P-32 seems to be better finished. Purely subjective, however.

Both 69-series [12-rd.] and 59-series [15-rd.] mags will fit and function in the P-11, but try them before you buy them...some are a bit snug.

I've also had good luck with aftermarket 30-rounders in the Sub-9...mostly Triple-Ks, although others work.

A Kel-Tec carbine with a thirty-round mag is waaaaaaaay too much fun.

With the title of 2 down and 1 to go I thought you were throwing them in the water.

I had a Keltec P32 last summer and it was the only bad gun I have ever had. The bullets keyholed. So I sent it back. Then the empties hit me in the forehead. I could not hit the target with this gun so I sold it. The first offer was $50 but another dealer gave me $100 on a trade in so I grabbed it.

The pistol is thin and light but so is a cell phone.

A 9mm Glock magazine itself is as wide as your entire gun, if memory serves me. It would defeat the thinness that makes the P11 such a great carry piece. As mentioned, S&W 5900 and 6900 series mags work.

Had a Glock, prefer the Kel-Tec P11. What I would rather not
have to do is carry 3 different types of magazines when one
will do.

Mlk18, you will like the P-32. Mine does not keyhole, and brass stays away from my face. Shoots to point of aim, and goes anywhere a wallet will go.
