I've been looking @ the .223vs.22-250 and have decided I need one.I've chose the .223 cause of availability & I wont rest till I have an xp-100 or striker or T/C to go with it.My question is advice on which one? Mini 14,remington,ruger,savage.I have a savage in .308 & me being a southpaw the savage is readily available & a little more affordable for a poor boy.

It still has not sunk in that quality scope costs as much as I paid for my savage.
 
Lots of people say you can't beat the Savage for the price. The combo packages at Wal-Mart (rifle & scope) are a great deal.
 
I have a Mini 14 Ranch,not a tack driver,(working on it).Bought a Savage Mod.11,shoots very good,good gun for the money.Have Rock River Arms LAR15,100 TIMES better than my Mini,but not as accurate as is my Savage.
 
Remington makes a south-paw 700 VS in .223. Check your local gun store - a friend of mine got a pretty good price on one that the local store thought was gathering a bit too much dust:)
