Can you put 2 1/2" shells in a remington 870 wingmaster 20 gauge if you do it one at a time? or just 2 3/4" and 3"? someone gave me some 2 1/2 " and don't know what to do with'em.

You'l be able to FIRE them no problem, but they probably won't feed from the tube without a lot of problems; I know a fellow who tried the same sort of thing with 2 1/2" shells in his 12-gauge 870, but he found that the mechanism would let one and a half of the short shells out onto the lifter, jamming the gun up tight when he tried to pump it forward again.

If your law states, 3 shells total, make sure your magizine don,t hold any more than 2. May be sticky.

I keep forgetting, I only hunt with my guns, Law states, 3 shells total
