Finally got to go to the range today and test my new Lone Wolf Barrel on my Glock G35 with my new Ghost Trigger....functioned phenomenal on factory WWB...was able to push the 6" self healing target from 10 yds out to 30 yds and STILL get rounds on target out there.

Next item on the agenda was testing my 9mm reloads in the Ruger LC9S. Also first time shooting it with Talon Rubberized Grips installed. Again, rest success with both the 124gr Berry's FMJ and 124 gr XTP's both loaded with 4.4 gr of HP38. Pleasure to shoot, not a single failure and was able to push the 6" self healing target out from 10yds and still hit it at 30 yds. Wife LOVED shooting this one too.

Lastly, the Springfield XDS .45 ACP 3.3" testing my 230 gr XTP reloads...gotta say I was a little nervous about FTF's and FTE's...but functioned flawlessly again. Very happy with it...you also KNOW it is a Man Stopper round when you shoot this bad boy. Was able to push the target from 10 yds out to 20 yds...need a little more trigger time on this one...considering the Powder River Trigger kit...anyone have any experience with it?

Overall...fun and successful shoot...now to crank out some reloads with the recipes that I know work reliably.

Well PERSONALLY I hate to use up all my good karma so early in the week...

Nah. Just kidding. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a VERY NICE day for you and yours. Here in MN the temp got into the 50's so we might get some nice range days too.

Congrats on the reloads. In my younger days, the testem/tryem days, I wouldn't have known what to do if my reloads worked okay first time out. In some goofy way I think I would have felt cheated if they didn't need SOME tweeking.

It's nice to see a post once in a while where things went right.

Welcome to TFL! It sounds like you had a great day at the range.

( . . . . and we all know that even a bad day at the range beats a good day at the office . . . )
