Last year, Indiana passed a pistol caliber rifle season. This summer after returning from Africa, my son and I decided to get a pair of .44 mags, and sell our slug shotguns. I bought a Marlin 1894 and he got a handi rifle. We both shot and liked the new hornady LE .44 mag ammo. The following is some pics of our kills from the 1st 3 days of the season.

My son's 1st doe of the season. 130# field dressed.

My "brain fart" buck. Long story but I thought he was bigger.

Me with my 1st. doe and my son's buck, shot at the same time.

My son with the same 2 deer and his .44 mag handi rifle.

Me with my last doe[so far].

We killed 6 deer in 3 days of hunting. The .44 mags and the hornady LE ammo were awesome on deer. Hope you enjoy the pics.

desertfox, it depends on the county. Indiana has a 1 buck rule, with any weapon in season. In our county we are allowed up to 3 bonus county doe permits. The boy and I took 6 deer, but we could get 2 more.
