I don't know how accurate the following link still is but I personally found it interesting reading nonetheless. As you can see the list gives weapon type, police district and interestingly number of such weapons issued as of 1998, it's amazing what people will tell you if you just ask, enjoy.

Georgia State Patrol: Glock 22 AND 27. (Dept. issued backup! Complete with spiffy ankle rig, though most opt for other methods of backup carry...)

Forsyth County Sherriff's Dept. Glock 23

City of Cumming just went from "Issue *&* 4506 or any .45 you could qualify with (incl 1911)" to standard Glock 22.

People's Democratic Republik of Atlanta: Some manner of DAO stainless *&* 9mm double stacker.

*&* offered guns way below cost to Smyrna PD hoping for a publicity coup, but Smyrna said no thanks and went with the Glock 22.
