That depends on the strength of the spring (I think factory springs are 18 lbs.), the type of metal used and the loads you fire. Heavier or higher power loads require more frequent changing of the spring. Most recoil springs wear out between 2000 and 5000 rounds.

I would agree about 2000 rounds or so!!!
