1986 taurus .22lr revolver

Is it possible that it's a Mode 96, rather than 66? The Model 96 was a K-frame sized, 22, sort of Taurus answer to Smith and Wesson's Model 17. A mid sized revolver in 22 LR, with a 6" barrel, six shots, wood target grips.

What my search pulls up says that model is a .357 magnum. If that's in fact the case, I could probably tell you about the one I had from that era.
