How much should I expect to pay for a pretty much mint condition golden 39m. I know there's deals out there and some are over priced but for a really really nice one what's the Goin rate. Just curious because it seems the price of these , for a like new one have really gone up. I can get one , a 78 with Lyman peep sight included all original perfect bluing and just a small knick in the wood but I want to see if you guys are in the ball park of the asking price thanks in advance.

.

About a year ago, I sold a pristine 1966 version, w/o a peep sight, for $450 via walking it around a funshow.

I got this one about 6 months ago at a gunshow for $400....I thought it was a really good deal.... They normally run $500 to $600..maybe more if mint....

I'm echoing the others here. $500-600 range is reasonable, $400-500 range is a deal, for one in 95% or better condition.

I paid 350.00 for mine maybe 15-16 years ago. Bought second-hand from Gander Mtn. {The 22 was outright sell to GM for cash by its previous owner.} At my purchase time even tho I thought the price was on the high side and said so. GM wouldn't budge 0.01 cent off their wanting price of 350.00. But the rifle was indeed new looking. Showing very little use. If any by its previous owner.

One thing I like is its stock. Reminds me of the old 336 Marlins of the early 50s. Decent walnut was used in its making. A couple things I dislike is it's folding rear sight. That thing is a semi buckhorn having a very small square looking notch at its very bottom of the blade. Hardest to see thru gizmo I ever encountered. Especially for someone wearing glass's >like me. {Might have to change that rear sight out with a good Marbles some day.} I don't know about anyone else who has a 39-M. But my 22 sure is picky about its ammo concerning accuracy. I blame that unwanted situation on its Micro Groove barrel. If I were to buy another. H--- No!! Its hard for me to shoot it accurately. So there's no real enjoyment in owning it. Next time I buy a 22 I'll buy a pump something or another.

I'll give ya yer money back Sure Shot....then U can get that pump something or other.....:D

I forgot about havin this one too....

This one says 39A-Mountie..My other one says 39M....

I haven't found a Mint or LNIB 39A, or M.
I bought my first Mountie this year for $150, granted a good price for a 95 percenter.
My second an A with a scope for $200 and I have a line on another A Golden 97 percent for $400 with brass rear peep sight and nice leather sling.
