My single mom neighbor has an H&R 922 serial number is AS which is a 1978 model that is missing the center pin for the cylinder. Can anybody suggest where I can find a replacement part for this gun. I checked with Numrich and they don't have it in stock. I would love to get this piece fixed for her and google searches haven't turned up much help.

First - Welcome to TFL, we hope you stick around awhile.

Second - Bob's Gun Parts lists several, but you should drop a piece of twist drill (rod) into the cylinder pin recess, then measure it to find out how long the pin your neighbor's gun requires, since Bob list them by lengths, and if you get the correct length, a fatted pin can be dressed down to fit.

Click/scroll here (they're in the LH column, below the cylinders)

The pins are with the type cylinders they fit (below)

I hope you get your Merit Badge. ;)

H&R 922

Thanks for the info. Since they are only open Tues thru Thurs their phone is ALWAYS busy! I sent an email and I hope to have an answer back next week. I have a neighbor who has a milling machine that I just might give him a small project. As far as the merit badge goes, I really just want my .410 back from her so I can go shoot with it. I have some squirrels trying to scratch a hole in my roof and my 12ga makes too big a mess! ;)

FWIW, In the years that I've been doing business with Bob's, I never bothered trying to talk with them - I either faxed in my order with a CC#, or mailed them a note w/check for what I wanted.

I've never failed to get what I ordered in a week or so.
