1970's Colt Help

In the early 1970's my Dad owned a Colt Frontier Scout I believe it had a 6" barrel and was nickle w/ wood grips. It also had 2 cylinders, a 22mag and a 22LR. The case was wooden. Unfortunately, someone broke in our home in the late 70's and stole it.
My question is has anyone ever heard of or seen one and how rare are they?
I would really like to find one for purchase.
Any other info would be helpful, especially if someone bought one in the Birmingham, Alabama area in the late 70's!

The aluminum framed Colt Frontier Scout was made in large quantities from 1958 to 1972.

In fact, there were several versions of the .22 Colt single action made from 1972 through 1986, in both aluminum frames and in steel.

They are not rare, and you can usually find them for sale on the online gun sales sites like Guns America, Gun Broker, and Auction Arms.
