196's Colt Python

Picked up a nice, considering, police trade in Colt Python......need some factory grips and all I can seem to find is mint or near mint grips........where might one find a set of type 1 or 2 grips that would look appropriate, age and wear, for a 90% Python? ebay and gunbroker have been tried for several months now....I am guessing these are laying around places and people think they arent nice enough to sell........ideas appreciated.

Call Colt and find out its exact date then try to find the appropriate grips for it. If it is early 1960's it should be generation 1 grips. If it is late 1960's then it could be either generation 1 or 2 depending on when Colt switched the grips. Both of my Pythons are 1978 so they are the generation 3 grips. There are some Colt experts out there and one of them should be around shortly and they should have more info on the grips.
