1940 PO8 Trigger lever pin problem

I have a 1940 PO8 Luger and the "S" Shaped pin that holds the trigger lever to the side plate backs out of it's hole after two shots and then the gun will not fire. I have unsuccessfully looked for a detent or ledge or something that holds it in place and it seems to be free to travel rearward.

Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for this?

I checked on my Luger and the pin pivots with the trigger. What you need to do is perhaps put some locktite on the pin where it fits in the trigger. I would think that should keep it from walking out.
 
I think Highpower is confusing the trigger pivot, which is part of the trigger, and the trigger lever pin, which holds the trigger lever in place. So lay off the Loctite.

The short end of the trigger lever pin goes through the hole in the sideplate and holds the trigger lever (the L shaped piece) in place. Then the longer end is swung down and snapped into the notch in the sideplate. If the trigger lever pin does not require a little force to go into place, it might have to be bent a bit until it does. Once in place, it won't come loose.
