I have a Navy Luger and I'd like to know more about it. It is marked on the back strap(?) TD II. What does that mean? What would the value be? It has about 70 to 80% of the finish. The wood grip panels are a little worn. There is the last two numbers of the serial number on all the small parts that I can see.
Thanks for the help P5 Guy

Value is high even at 70% finish for a matching navy luger. Suggest you get good pictures and post here and

TD stands for Torpedo Division. John Walter says there were two torpedo warfare training units in 1917, so maybe yours was issued to the second, hence TD II.

Thank You Gentlemen

I got it backwards it is II.T.D and 1365 under that.
Any hazard to estimate a value?

You can get a very nice Navy for $4000-$5000, but then Simpson wants $2200 for an admitted fake. If you want to cash in, a well publicized auction is your best chance. If you just want to brag, go to the sales sites like GunsAmerica.com AuctionArms.com and GunBroker.com and look around.
