[Enigma]

There is an almost unbelievable amount of manufacturers and aftermarket modifiers of this fine pistol. It is very difficult to choose a source for a purchase because of this. Which source would you use? Which source would you avoid? Why?

Check out the new loaded Springfields, the fit and finish are excellent, very good triggers right out of the box and the 2 I have are very accurate. Also, any good gunsmith will do work on a Springfield, Colt, Kimber, or any other high grade 1911 out there. I personally have avoided Colt, because it seems to me their quality has gone down in the last few years. Kimber uses some plastic parts on their guns, so I have also avoided them. Others will have different opinions as there are legions of Colt fans around, as well as Kimber. This is just my opinion, but have had great success with the Springfields. Rod Black
