1911

I don't even own one, but if I could get one, from what I've read the Wilson CQB looks good, but I don't see having that kind of money any time soon. I wish though.

In 1911's I have:3 Colts,1Robar Officers,2 Wilsons, 1Les Baer, 1 Springfield Armory, 1Gunsite ATP.
My choice of carry is a Wilson CQB. IMHO the best, most reliable gun.

I have 3 Colts. All have been 100% reliable with everything I've fed them. I have a Government Model made in the late '80s. A 1991A1 Commander made in early to mid 90's and an Officer's ACP from the same period. Workmanship on all three are excellent. The Government originally came with crappy sights, so it now wears some Bo-Mars.

Recently, I picked up a Para P13 stainless. It was used and looked new. I'm very impressed with it and probably would buy another.

Kimbers I have looked at, but not purchased any. To get what I want, I would need to set out nearly $1000 and I just can't do that.

If money's an object, then Kimber, Colt, or Springfield--plus a trip to the smith after the break-in for a trigger and reliability job--will get you in the game for about $800. Less than that and you're playing with fire in the 1911 arena.

If money's no object, then Ed Brown, Wilson, and the like make a heck of a 1911. However, if I had that kind of money, I'd get one custom made.
