1911 Vs Maxxtech ammo

I have tried many different ammo in my Llama 30 and Bursa 380. The Maxxtech jams at less every third round. also:
A strange thing happened today at the range, Using Maxxtech ammo in both of my ATI 45 auto, they would lock the trigger, Nobody at the range could fogger it out, I went back to Winchester ammo and other makes all was fine, back to Maxxtech and it locks the trigger, Very Strange, The round would eject OK and looked OK, But still nothing changed. Does anyone have any ideas?

"Lock the trigger" isn't specific enough for much of a diagnosis.
It didn't reset? It did reset, but pulling it didn't fire the gun? Thumb safety was engaged? Grip safety wouldn't disengage?

Maxxtech 45 ammo

When I say the trigger is locked its as if the safety is on, But it is not , Not the grip safety or the main lever safety. The slide full forward and every option is checked not just by me but every body on the range, Nothing explains this. Other ammo, Winchester, Remington went through without a problem. this same problem occurred on both my perfect ATI 45 auto pistols. I can't explain this Can you?

It sounds like there is some sort of mechanical problem with both of your ATI pistols. I can't imagine how the ammunition that should just feed from the magazine to the chamber could "lock up" a 1911 style pistol if the slide was in fact all the way forward and all mechanical safes were properly functioning. Why it does this with only one make of ammunition is puzzling and would be a wild coincidence. I'm not familiar with that band of ammo, is it new or factory reloads? Perhaps a slightly oversized case or bullet seated just slightly too long and is holding the slide just slightly out of battery, maybe not enough to notice? But you say you checked all those issues so...

Ditto.

Wildgoose, did you attempt a plunk test with the suspect ammo? My best guess is that the pistol was actually a wee bit out of battery, perhaps because the bullet was hanging up in the rifling before the round was fully chambered. I had this problem using a certain 124gr handload in a 9mm S&W I used to own; it was initially disconcerting because this load functioned 100% in every other 9mm pistol I owned, but it was easy to work around once I figured out what was going on.

Here's a link explaining the plunk test and some other potential causes for chambering problems:

I agree with CarGuyChris, it sounds to me like the gun is just a little out of battery / causing it to lock up.

So its an ammo related issue...in my view, the Maxxtech ammo is junk...I would just quit shooting it and move on to something else and quit worrying about it.
