I'm trying to come up with the perfect load for my 'new' Norinco 1911A1. My preferred bullet weight is usually 230gr, but I'm having a heck of a time finding the right load for this thing....
With my ol' crappy Firestorm Compact (ya - I know, my pistol preferences are a bit on the cheap side...
), I was getting hellacious accuracy with a comparably higher-power round. Now, with this Norinco 1911, I'm find that a much (read: VERY much) lighter-powered load is getting the Norinco to show it's accuracy, so my first guess is that I'm working with a faster twist rate.
With all my blathering out of the way, here's the question -
What's the twist rate of a typical, stock 1911?
