1911 Trigger

I have been searching 1911 triggers on MidwayUSA and have narrowed my search to either the Ed Brown Videki or the cylinder and slide videki match trigger. Neither of the descriptions nor the pictures indicate that the triggers have pre-travel adjustment tabs. Is this the case? Anyone familiar with either of these triggers, if there is any difference between the two?

Call King's Gun Works. They are a smaller parts house, but they have been around for 60 years, and their parts are hard to beat.

Unfortunately King's is out of the parts business. I used their parts for many years and wish they were still around. You could go with any of the named suppliers and get a very good trigger. (STI is a good choice) I wouldn't worry about the pre travel adjustment unless you have a really out of spec frame. The trigger bow can be stretched slightly at the rear to remove some of the take up. You need a small amount of take up to be safe on a 1911 anyway.

I do see that STI makes such a trigger with the tabs. Problem is, I would like the trigger to be aluminum in the bright for cosmetic reasons to match the hammer. I am putting this in a PT1911. Chances are, from what I hear, the frames are out of spec. The factory trigger came with adjustment tabs which I had to adjust to take A LOT of pretravel out. I set somewheres around to .04" - .06" pretravel. UPDATE - I dropped my pistol off to a master gunsmith who works for Kimber, went over my concerns and what I would like to have done, and was told he could locate the parts for me. Thanks!
