For you guys that work on 1911 colts, clones, or copies, what spare parts should I buy in case something breaks on my Star and/or Ballester Molina pistols. Thanks in advance.

Mainspring. Sear. Firing pin & firing pin spring. Extractor. Plunger & recoil spring. Those are the basics for the 1911. Anybody else got suggestions?

It won't break, but may get lost, so a spare safety spring and plunger for the B-M is a good idea. (This is the plunger and spring that go inside the hammer pin under the safety; they have a habit of popping out when the safety is removed.) Since there is no comparable part on the U.S. Colt type, so you will have to order one specifically for the B-M. Otherwise, 4V50 Gary has it about right.

Ok, where does one find spare parts for a B/M anyway? There are not many 1911 parts that will work in a B/M, even the grips are different.
