Ok, I bought an AMT.
As soon as your done laughing, please post recommendations for a good smith who can make this a reliable pistol.
No, I don't want to sell it and buy another gun. I like it...it's a Javelina 6" longslide 10mm, I got it for a song. One of my first guns was a Hardballer longslide, and 10 years ago I didn't know much about guns so when it didn't work out of the box I got PO'ed and sold it, and now I want another. I've come to realize that 1911s are like beautiful women or italian sports cars, they will make you very happy if you throw enough money at them
Anyway, this gun will need work, and these are my priorities, highest to lowest:

Reliability: Must go bang. Must feed, must eject. I know, your saying "its an AMT, your asking too much" but hey sue me.

Accuracy: Would like the thing to be accurate. The thing has a 6" barrel for crying out loud, it should be accurate!

Not much else really, maybe a trigger job, maybe a nice beavertail grip safety.

Any suggestions?
