wanted to have my kimber stainless II milled to accept an adjutable rear sight, what is the going rate to get this done, how about to have the sights pushed in while they are at it

Kimber Cut

The average machine cost around Central IN with a Gunsmith doing the work, is $90.00 - $150.00 + the cost of the Sight, to mill a traditional 1911. The Kimber Cut is a challenge. The "molded" fixed sight utilizes a unique cut. You'll need to select an adjustable rear sight that you want installed. The other option is to weld up the Kimber cut dovetail and re-cut. Obviously, your cost is going to reflect this. For the part itself Brownells or Novak's would be good places to start. You might give Kimber a call. Be cautious when you look through Brownells. Kimber uses a different cut for their adjustables. Make sure the description defines "Kimber Dovetail, or cut".

The Kimber adjustable rear sight is an LPA cut, it's not a Bo-Mar even though they look to be the same.
The cost to do the cut will depend on the cut and the machine time to do it.
