J Jim Watson New member Aug 22, 2008 #2 All the Clark Longslides were done as conversions on 5" guns. I expect a 6" slide would fit a standard receiver these days.

S Sevens New member Aug 22, 2008 #4 I have an AMT Hardballer Long Slide (don't believe all that you've read or heard) and it's 7 inches in length, and the frame is exactly the same as every other 1911. You will need a long recoil spring plug. I run a Wilson Combat 18-pound spring.
