1911 holster recommendations

hello everyone i just got a Dan Wesson Discretion. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a holster for this? I will be using it as a daily carry OWB, needs to have retention. I'm having trouble finding good information on this, it has tall suppressor sights and a rail and threaded barrel. Not looking to get a custom holster. Thanks!
 
Yeah I have to agree, you'll have to have it custom made.
Where are you?

I know a few very good makers, but shipping the gun back and forth can be a pain, so it's best to have it done close to where you live.
 
I am in phoenix, this is my first 1911 that has this many custom features. I know a few custom holster makers around here, was just thinking that maybe there would be one out there that comes with the ability to fit the sights and the rail. Appreciate the feedback!
 
Check with Garrett Industries, top notch gear and they can accommodate a surprising array of options.

That's a great holster, it's the only one I use with my 1911s for concealed carry, I have several of them in different lengths to fit all my 1911s. I also have a couple of their Champion models for competition.
 
I recommend Ken Null horsehide. He does make some retention holsters. You might see if he can fit the Super Speed Scabbard with a thumb break.

I believe Safariland makes (or used to make) a holster for 1911s with rails. They are (or were) one of the few major, "name" holster makers to do so. Don't recall if it also had retention.
 
I second the recommendation for Safariland. I'm almost certain they make a holster to accommodate the rail as a matter of fact I think they may proved the USMC with holsters for the M45A1.

Which won't fit many holsters. The rail is not an issue. The sights are the issue. Look for a holster for a pistol with a suppressor...
