Depending on the amount of work requested (full house or just sights?) I would be leary of any gunsmith that is only back logged a month or two.
Most of the truly "good" pistolsmiths are busy for a reason.
Other than my local gunsmith (that has only done small jobs for me so far) I can't think of one single pistolsmith that I would send MY 1911 to that has a wait of less than 6 months. If your luck is like mine you will be lucky if the 6 months does not turn into a year. The work is worth the wait for pistolsmiths that know what they are doing.
