1911 Condition?

Might be a stuid question but here goes.

I had a 1911 for about 9 months now and was wondering if anybody will tell me what all the conditions are for the pistol? I know that Condition 1 is cocked and locked but not sure what numbers go with the other ones like mag in not cocked, one in chamber with hammer down, etc....

thanks Cyric13

The only two you will ever need are condition 1 (cocked and locked) and condition 0 (the way it came out of the box).

The other two are condition 2 (round in the chamber/hammer down which requires lowering the hammer manually over a live round), and condition 3 (mag inserted/chamber empty/hammer down which requires racking the slide to get the gun ready for action).

There are people that feel the need for the C2 or C3 options because they are afraid of C1 - they need to get a different pistol.

Just my opinion - ought to be everybody's :D

C&L all the way. Been there for over 30 years. No problems yet.
