I want to get a IWB holster for concealed carry for my 1911s. I am most likely to use it for my Kimber Compact II, with the 4" barrel and officers' grip.
However, it would be nice if I could use it for a full-sized/gi-sized 1911.
Am I asking too much? Is there a significant problem with having a holster 1" too long for the Kimber [but thus the right length for the other 1911s]?
I like 'tuckable' holsters, like the Garrett Industries Silent Thunder, which I have for a BHP.
Again, I am most likely to use it for the 4" barreled 1911, but it would be nice if I could use it for both. If I were to use percentages, I'd guess-timate that I'd use the 4" 1911 85% of the time the holster was on, with the 5" used no more than 15%, but possibly even less.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!
