1911 Artisans / PistolSmiths

I am looking for a custom shop for 1911's that are artisans! I have found plenty of 'smiths' that can make a 1911 an awesome shooter, but not very many that make the 1911 a BEAUTFUL work of art as well as extremely functional...

1. I want my 1911 to be absolutely beautful as well as functional. Guns like Les Baer, Ed Brown, Novak, Nighthawk Customs, Wilson Combat... they all make very functional weapons, but none of them 'stand-out' as being a highly customised/personalised work of art.

Im looking for work like what this man offers, but I want to find other choices... can any of you wonderful people help?

many of the top pistolsmiths include examples of thier art on their webpage. I would google a search for American pistolsmith guild and go to each site to make an accessment. Grips for handguns are a personal choice and you might include this in your evaluation.
 
Ted Yost does great work. From plain jane working irons to highly engraved barbeque guns. Definitely gets my vote.
 
I see very little "artwork" on that site. What I do see is a nicely finished 1911 with tons of unnecessary crap added to it.

Bob Rodgers - on Louderthanwords, I think, also on 1911forum.com - always seems to do some dress-up above and beyond shooting requirements.
 
Chuck Rogers machine work is without peer. I haven't shot one of his guns but if they shoot as good as they look they would be as fine as a 1911 gets.
