1911 9mm conversion

I guess the first question is whether 9mm, .38 Super, 9X23 and .45 1911 frames are all the same? Looking at some 9mm mags they look like they're designed to fill up a .45 mag well.

So if the above is true, are there basic 9mm top ends and magazines available to change caliber easily? Either a kit or just decently priced individual parts. 9mm is so cheap I was thinking I might shoot my 1911 more often if it had more calibers (I'm also considering a Marvel match .22 conversion).

Looked around on the internet and couldn't find anything. 1911forum is currently down. Any thoughts?

Springfield's part's book show's the extractor is different, & the barrel naturally. If I remember correctly the frame and the slide are the same. I have a 1911A1 in 9mm and 45acp and their is not a difference unless you look at the business end. Again it's been awhile since I looked at this so maybe someone else will post as well so you'll know for sure.

The releif cut on the underside of the slide for the ejector is different, meaning that a 9mm/.38 Super slide will not fit a frame with a .45 ejector in place.
