1909 argentine mauser ejector

Hello, this is my first rifle project. I am building a mauser rifle. I am using a 1909 Argentine receiver that I got off gunbroker - bolt and receiver only. It needs everything else.
I am stuck on the ejector. I got a K98 ejector, and installed it. Problem is that the blade is not deep enough into the bolt to touch the case and eject it.
I looked at it closely. The spring is good. It seems that when the ejector/bolt stop box screw is installed, the section of the blade between the hole (that the screw goes through to mount to receiver) and the bolt stop hits the side of the receiver - causing the blade to not pertrude fully 'into' the bolt...
I can remove material from the receiver to fix this but that seems wrong.
I can grind the ejector blade also, but that seems wrong too.
I have searched the 1909 argentine ejector and it seems the ejector/bolt stop box on these is different - but I am not sure. I see some with the same unit as mine, and some not.
The receiver I got is stripped so I just figured that any K98 bolt stop unit would work..
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Is the 1909 Argentine ejector unit unique to itself (as I understand a lot of mauser parts are interchangeable)...Thanks in advance..

The 1909 Argentine action is a standard M98 military action, so any parts from another type of M98 action (military or commercial) will work. If the ejector does not protrude far enough to eject shells, you may have a 93/94/95/96 ejector instead, or the ejector spring may be weak, or you have installed the ejector blade backwards. The bolt stop for a 1909 is distinctive, as it has a long tab that goes up to the top of the action, but it is otherwise a normal M98 bolt stop, and you can use a bolt stop from any other M98 action if your is missing (again, make sure you do not have a 93/94/95/96 bolt stop).

Thanks for the reply. Like I said this is my first rifle project. I bought the bolt stop/ejector unit from ebay that said it was a 98. But, Being that I have little experience with these, your post helps a lot. It must be something other than a 98, so I will just get another one - being that they are cheap enough to do so.
The blade is installed correct (I installed it both ways just to be sure). The spring is strong. Is there a way to tell what bolt stop I have?
I am sure I will have many questions as this project moves on, so thanks for the reply - and I will update when I get another unit...

Does the extractor blade move freely in the bolt stop? I've seen those that had been dinged or beat until the blade only moved about 1/2 as far as it should.

Yes, the ejector moves freely - but when it is installed, it presses up against the receiver in the tiny area between the screw and the back of the bolt stop. This causes the blade to retract a little bit - but that little bit causes the case brass not to hit the ejector blade. The spring cover even bulges out when the bolt stop is in the resting position. It certainly seems like the wrong unit...I have ordered another one. I will post back with the results...

Received and installed new m98 bolt stop/ejector and it works perfect. The one I originally installed must be the wrong model, as Scorch said - but after thinking about it, I decided to see if I could get the wrong one to work...So I filed the ejector blade (probably a bad thing to do) but the wrong one works now. So I have two units, 1 wrong, 1 right, and they both work..lol
The new one I got has the extended tab and looks better IMO.
Thanks for the info. and help..
