19,000 votes nullified. Could this save us?

I just heard that they nullified Nineteen thousand votes due to the fact that they were double punched. Now they had said earlier that most of the ones that would have been double punched would have been for Gore. Could this be our saving grace?

What I dont understand is why none of these 19,000 people stood up, took their ballot back, had it destroyed and request a new ballot for the single punch!

If they did not do this, it is their fault for not voting properly!

The machine, nor the counters can know who a person voted for on a double punched ballot.

Therefore the ballot is declared void.

Just wait.....the Democrats will 'find' 19,000 people who will claim to have accidentally punched twice, and will demand that they be allowed to vote a second time.

If they double punched, would the ballot not have been counted the first time around in tthe race in question? Therefore, no effect on the final vote??

According to the news (if you can believe them), the 19,000 votes in question didn't count the first time around either.

Well, If you think about it...
Most of the Double Punches were people trying to vote Gore and voted buchanan...

I think it should help Bush... But will end up hurting him.

In all my years I never thought that I'd a man so power hungry that he would risk a Constitutional crisis to win the presidency. It's disgusting and I hope enough people are turned away from Bore because of this.

The holes in the ballots are perforated, and loosen every time they are run through the counting machines. Every time the ballots are recounted, the chance for invalidation increases.

I don’t know how the demographics of the 19,000 are weighted. But, I think the lesson learned this time is that the past voting indicators on the street level are much less relevant. This could hurt or help.

Oh, goody. A reason that ALL STATES should be mandated to have ELECTRONIC not manual voting methods. After all, NO ONE can fudge electronic votes! RIGHT! Expect something like this if the Dems lose the election. Maybe we should require a thumb print attached to each voting record. Then we could be sure if someone voted twice. Of course, then the election committee (and those who control them) will know EXACTLY who voted for who.
